We extend our gratitude for the fantastic conference in Nuuk
Last Friday, our CEO Thomas Hjort had the pleasure of attending the Nuna Conference in Nuuk. The event brought together a diverse group of tourism and hotel operators, authorities, and key figures from Greenland's business community, with both export and import sectors represented. This offered a unique platform for engaging discussions and networking addressing the current challenges and opportunities presented by Greenland's new airports.
Thomas Hjort sharply highlighted the need for action across all sectors of Greenland´s business community and the public sector, emphasizing that development is not only an opportunity but also a responsibility for companies with the capacity and resources. At Arctic Import, we embrace the principle 'With great ability comes great responsibility”, and Thomas argued for the essential need for companies to invest and adapt in order to leverage and support Greenland´s emerging growth drivers.
Thomas also shed light on the newly initiated construction of Arctic Import's new headquarters in Nuuk. This state-of-the-art facility will unite all activities under one roof, more than doubling the capacity of the current facilities. Moreover, the building is designed to be sustainable and will be DGNB-certified, making it the first commercial building in Greenland to receive this recognition.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the important dialogue on how Greenland's future with the new airports should be shaped. We look forward to continuing the collaboration and being part of this exciting journey!
