Training programme

It is essential for Arctic Import that we continuously contribute to society by educating apprentices – this applies to all locations. 
As a student at Arctic Import, you will undertake a two-year program, gaining practical experience in the fields of freight forwarding, finance, sales, and warehousing. The program combines on-the-job training with several school sessions. We ensure that your training is tailored so you cover all aspects of the job – with a special focus on the areas that interest you the most.

You can choose between four different educations

At Arctic Import, our ambition is to be the strongest team in the North Atlantic and provide the best customer service in the region. Our student programs are designed to develop skilled and dedicated professionals who are ready to take responsibility and contribute to the company’s success. Through targeted training, practical experience, and personal development, we equip you with the tools you need to grow both professionally and personally.

The student program is a structured two-year education where your mentor helps you plan an individualized program. You can choose between these fields at our various locations:

Sales student

You will become an integral part of our sales department, gaining in-depth knowledge of various sales techniques. You will develop your skills in sales support while also building strong, long-lasting relationships with customers. Through your work, you will gain a deep understanding of customer needs, enabling you to offer tailored solutions that perfectly match their requirements.

Finance student

As a finance student, you will become part of our finance department, where you will learn to manage the company’s financial processes, such as bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations, VAT, and debt collection. Your tasks will evolve as you gain more experience, and you will be responsible for daily financial tasks as well as month-end and year-end closing.

Freigth Forwarding student

As a freight forwarding student, you will gain in-depth insight into the planning, coordination, and documentation of transport tasks, where precision and efficiency are paramount. You will learn to manage freight assignments, collaborate with both internal and external partners, and ensure the accurate completion of shipping documents and customs paperwork.

Transport student

As a transport student, you will learn to master logistics, route planning, and managing transport processes. You will gain experience in coordinating and ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers in the North Atlantic. During your training, you will also learn to optimize transport operations using digital systems.

Guidance and support

We tailor an individual student program that takes your needs and expectations into account across our various locations, considering both local and personal circumstances. Your educational plan will be continuously adjusted through regular meetings, with a focus on your professional development. You will be assigned a mentor who will be a close collaborator and support you in your day-to-day tasks. The mentor will ensure that you quickly feel comfortable in your new role and have a solid foundation for your growth.

  • HHX
  • HTX, STX or HF + 5 weeks EUS course
  • HG (assessed individually)

Transport student

  • Completed 9th or 10th grade
