Arctic Import has supplied furniture and equipment for the modern day-care center in Nuuk
When children play in Nuuk's new day-care center, they greatly enjoy the furniture and equipment provided by Arctic Import. The center, named Naasut (meaning 'flower'), is a symbol of innovation and sustainability in Greenland.
In December 2023, Naasut opened its doors in Nuuk. This new day-care center accommodates 96 children, divided into two kindergarten groups and three nurseries. At Arctic Import, we are proud to have supplied the furniture and play equipment for this modern and innovative facility. Sermersooq Municipality aimed to create Greenland's best and most sustainable day-care center, a goal which Naasut largely fulfills.
The municipality's ambition was to create an environment emphasizing innovation and originality in its construction and design. This has been achieved through bright and welcoming surroundings, providing ample space for play and exploration, where children can grow into curious and healthy citizens.
Furniture, play equipment, and other furnishings, all supplied in collaboration with our regular supplier Lekolar, play a crucial role in creating stimulating learning and play environments.
Sermersooq Municipality has created an institution that provides optimal conditions for children's development, learning, and play, where furniture and equipment play a significant role. These are carefully selected, high-quality products that enhance children's senses and physical movement. The day-care center is closely located to the new school in Nuuk, which will accommodate 1,200 students. Arctic Import and Lekolar have also been chosen to supply furniture and furnishings for the school, expected to be completed in August 2024.
